Academic Shoot Preview

Best Story:

I think this picture went along with the prompt of "best story". In the picture, everybody looks very happy and excited. I think the story is that a class or a club decided to out and something fun rather than sitting in a classroom. Something is probably very funny and amusing because everybody seems like they are having fun and enjoying themselves. 

Emotion:

I think this picture showed the most emotion. While other pictured did, the closeness of the subject emphasizes the emotion of joy. The subject is happy but so is the person behind her. The photographer did a good job of making the emotion of the picture the first thing the viewer notices. 

Filling the Frame: 

To me, this photo was the most interesting to look at. The photographer did a good job of using the rule of thirds and putting the thing that frames the subject at the bottom. The photo tells a story and shows emotion which makes it interesting to look at. The photo is also colorful and shows teamwork and happiness. 

2012 Winners: 

1. I picked this photo because it showed the emotions of thought. The lighting and contrast of colors in the photo made it interesting to view. 

2. Rule of thirds is shown in the photo because the teacher/subject is placed on the right side of the photo. framing is also shown because the projection screen frames the teacher. 

1. I picked this photo as one of my favorites because like the first one it showed deep thought and emotion. The viewer also gets an interesting view of the student and what he is writing. 

2. Rule of thirds, framing,  and simplicity was shown in this picture.
