I liked this photo because it showed the sadness of the boy and the whole community after the El Paso shooting at Walmart. I also chose it because it happened relatively close to where we live.

I liked this photo because it was the first picture of a black hole. I always wondered what a black hole would look like. Also, it is a big scientific achievement that happened. 

I chose this because it was taken during Trump's impeachment. 

Best Song

I think the best song is any song by Khalid. I like all of his songs and he came out with a new album this year in April. I like his music and the messages in them. He writes about being a normal teenager trying to find his place in the world. His album free spirit was about his newfound freedom. His songs al took over the charts in 2019, including old and new songs. One of my favorites is motion.
Best Movie

The best movie I saw was Knives Out. I liked it because it was a murder mystery but it wasn't a typical murder mystery. The murder was accidental and they covered it up and on the journey of finding out who did it, there are many plot twists. It also had a good actor playing the main character. Daniel Craig played the detective. He also played in James Bond. 

Best News story

I think the best news story was about the area 51 raid. It was interesting to me because it sparked my curiosity about what's actually in area 51, also, it was very prominent on social media and many people talked about it. It was a little outrageous because it started out as a joke but then 2 million people signed up to raid it on facebook. 

Most Important Person

I think the most important person in 2019 is Donald Trump. He was a prominent person in 2019 because of his policies. He also was accused of crimes such as illegal relations and hacking of the elections with the Russians. He also just became the third president to get impeached. 

My 2019

1. Something that happened on my break is I played in my first volleyball tournament of the season in san Antonio. I also hung out with my friends and my Grandma came and visited for Christmas. 

2. My new year's resolution is to be more organized. 

3. I'm looking forward to the trips my family and I are going on in 2020. Over summer we go to Germany and Austria and over Christmas break, we are going to Thailand.
