Student of the Month Questions:
1. Why do you think you were chosen over others for this award?
I think I was chosen because I don't on;y work hard in school, I work hard in helping the community.
2. If you didn't win who do you think would have won and why?
If I didn't win the award, Sophia would have won because she also works really hard in and out of school.
3. How do you feel about winning this award?
I feel like it a really big honor to win and it will help me apply to colleges and help my future.
4. What does this award mean to you?
The award means that I'm doing well in school and I should keep up whatever routine I have.
5. How much time and work was put into winning this award?
I do homework for probably 3 hours a day and on the weekend I volunteer for charities and help with my little brother's sports team, so a lot of time.
6. How did you get the grades to win this award?
To get good grades I study and do all my work on time and I communicate with my teachers on what they expect in class.
7. What advice would you give to someone who was trying to win this award?
I would say to devote your time to doing well in school and when your out of school, put energy into helping people.
8. How does this affect your future opportunities?
I think that being able to put this award on applications for jobs and colleges will help my chances of getting into them.
9. Do you think you could win this award again, why or why not?
I'm gonna keep everything that I can but I think they only pick students once for this award so probably not.
10. Was it challenging to win this award?
Yes, it was really challenging, it takes up a lot of my time trying to be a good student but I think its worth it.
11. What was the most challenging part of winning this award?
The most challenging part was always staying motivated to do my schoolwork even if I didn't want to but I knew that I should.
12. After winning this award, how did your family and friends react?
My family was really proud of me and we went out to dinner to celebrate and my friends are also proud of me even though they tease me about it sometimes.
13. Who else made it possible for you to win this award? Teachers? Peers? etc.
My teachers helped me a lot by always helping me when I have questions and my parents for helping me at home with finding charities and with any homework I was confused about.
14. If you had to choose someone else to win this award who would it be?
If I didn't win the award, Sophia would have won because she also works really hard in and out of school.

I think others voted for me because they see how hard I work and how dedicated I am to being a good student and person.
16. What qualities make someone a candidate for this award?
I think that being studious and a good team player and not afraid to work hard are things that you need to win this award.
17. Did you expect to win this award? why or why not?
Yes because I know that a bunch of people are aware of how hard I work at school so I thought that one day I would win this award.
18. Do you think you deserve this award?
I think there's a lot of people who deserve this award but I'm glad I won because its good to be appreciated for all the effort I put in.
19. Did this competition do a good or bad thing for the student body?
I think it is good so people will work harder and have a goal to do their best but also there is the downside that people would get jealous or sad.
