Selfies vs. self-portraits 1. A selfie is a photo takes of themselves with a smartphone or camera. It is informal. 2. a self-portrait is also a photo taken of themselves but it is more formal and proper. 3. a self-portrait is more formal and artistic and a selfie is more informal and used for media. 4. I like self-portraits more because they are more interesting to look at. 5. I think both are equally important because selfies are used in media which is a big part of society and self-portraits are artistic and used for self-expression. Shutterbug website: Lens This website is trying to inform the world about issues of the world through photography. It shows different prominent issues and events happening all over the world. It even features some that don't make it to the headlines in the news and uncovers why they aren't making it to the headlines. It includes photo essays as well. I will definitely look at this site because the photos posted are powerful and informativ
Phobia Project
1. A phobia is an extreme fear somebody has 2. Melissophobia- Fear of bees Glossophobia- fear of speaking in public or of trying to speak Harpaxophobia- Fear of being robbed Thalassophobia- Fear of the sea Lachanophobia- Fear of vegetables 3. Ideas for my shoot: - Harpaxophobia- Fear of being robbed: I could take a picture of someone outside of a window at night to create an eerie feel. The person can be wearing all black so they have the appearance of a robber. I could also shoot a "robber" behind a door peering into my house. - Foniasophobia- fear of being murdered: I could take a picture of someone on a dark street holding a knife. - Glossophobia- fear of public speaking: I could take a picture of the back of someone's head facing towards a crowd of people. 4. I can use open dark space to create an eerie feel to the pictures. I could also play with different perspectives. I will also play with lighting to make things scarier

Top 3 Pictures I liked this photo because it showed the sadness of the boy and the whole community after the El Paso shooting at Walmart. I also chose it because it happened relatively close to where we live. I liked this photo because it was the first picture of a black hole. I always wondered what a black hole would look like. Also, it is a big scientific achievement that happened. I chose this because it was taken during Trump's impeachment. Best Song I think the best song is any song by Khalid. I like all of his songs and he came out with a new album this year in April. I like his music and the messages in them. He writes about being a normal teenager trying to find his place in the world. His album free spirit was about his newfound freedom. His songs al took over the charts in 2019, including old and new songs. One of my favorites is motion.
