1. The things that cougth my eye about these photos was the emotion and rawness of them. He did a good job of capturing emotion. I also think the subject in the photos is interesting and it really seems like there is a story to tell about them. The pictures are also taken in foreign countries which makes it more interesting because I've never seen the places they were taken. 2. In the Top photo I can: feel: rough sand on my skin hear: loud wind howling see: dry desert terrain and cloudy sky smell: earthy materials like dirt taste: grimy dust In the bottom photo I can: feel: the shade of the house protecting the people from the harsh African sun hear: cries of the baby see: a woman and her child in Ethiopia smell: Ethiopian food cooking in the background for the woman and her family taste: water from the well in the village to keep me hydrated 3. A way I would share this is a "book". My book would be artistic and allow me to e

1. If I had to go to one of these theme parks I would choose to go to Land of Oz in North Carolina. I would choose this because it seems extremely creepy and the theme is Wizard of Oz. it looks mysterious and I think that mystery would be a cool touch to add to the photos. I think it could provide many good photo opportunities. I would take a picture of the yellow brick road which looks abandoned, creepy, and mysterious. 2. 3. Five other unusual places to take photos are: - other abandoned places such as subways, houses, hospitals, schools, etc. - industrial places - train tracks - odd architecture - old buildings 4. Abandoned subway tunnel in Ukraine 5. I would like to take photos here because it has touches of mystery and creepiness and the tunnel is interesting to look at. I also think it would just be fun to explore. As I explored I would document my findings and take pictures of the tunnel and things I find in it. I also thin

1. My first reaction to what I read and saw was sadness. I think the photographer did a really good job of capturing the emotion of the picture by emphasizing the animals. I think that the topic of animal habitat loss and endangerment is a really significant topic because it will affect us, other living things and beautiful landscapes. It's really cool that a Nick Brandt went out and captured the sad, important topic and creating amazing photos out of it to spread awareness. He also wanted to capture the animals living their life and emphasize the beauty of them. He wanted to capture their spirits. 2. 3. This was my favorite picture by Nick Brandt because I think it captured the sadness of animals losing their habitats to humans. The innocent giraffe is unproblematic while the humans are destroying its habitat. it also showed the relationship between humans and the animals of Africa. 4. Rules represented by this photo is the rule of thirds. Both the giraffe and the peopl
Most and Least Unethical

I think this photo was the most unethical. The person who changed the picture completely changed the persons face. This was very rude to the person in the picture because it basically sent her the message her face wasn't okay to be publicized. I think this one is the most ethical. I think this because they only photoshopped the horse handler out to draw attention to the main subject not because they thought the handler was "not attractive or imperfect."

1. One of the main points is that as a journalist you get the reins on how the public sees views and hears things so it's good to be responsible. 2. They have strict guidelines on how their photographers can shoot things. 3. Acceptable things to do is to fix lighting, or smooth over hair, or make the picture look like a better picture by adjusting things like color, brightness and cropping it.

Best Story: I think this picture went along with the prompt of "best story". In the picture, everybody looks very happy and excited. I think the story is that a class or a club decided to out and something fun rather than sitting in a classroom. Something is probably very funny and amusing because everybody seems like they are having fun and enjoying themselves. Emotion: I think this picture showed the most emotion. While other pictured did, the closeness of the subject emphasizes the emotion of joy. The subject is happy but so is the person behind her. The photographer did a good job of making the emotion of the picture the first thing the viewer notices. Filling the Frame: To me, this photo was the most interesting to look at. The photographer did a good job of using the rule of thirds and putting the thing that frames the subject at the bottom. The photo tells a story and shows emotion which makes it interesting to look at. The photo is also colorful an

On her metal, Bowie, and square pictures it is unclear to me what the subject is or it was hard to find. https://allisphotojournalismblog.blogspot.com/2019/09/happy-this-photo-displays-framing.html#more - 2 things Alli did well was following the prompt and using framing on her first picture and using line on her last picture. - One improvement she could make is to incorporate rule of thirds into more of her pictures.

1. A few challenges I had with taking photos for the prompts was that I struggled with finding something that represented happy. I also found it difficult because we had very limited things to shoot. 2. I found myself thinking about focus a lot. I looked at some of my pictures that the subject as not clearly in focus and it made the picture significantly worse. It made the subject unclear and it didn't give the photo depth. 3. if I could do this assignment over again I would try to take more pictures. I went out and didn't take as many pictures as I should have. if I took more pictures it would give me more options to choose from. I would also try to be more aware of the backgrounds I'm placing my subject against. 4. Some things I would do the same is rule of thirds. I looked at some of my pictures that didn't follow the rule very well and it made them look a lot worse opposed to my pictures that did follow the rule. 5. I am not interested in shooting these prompts

I chose this picture for metal because the main subject is metal. Some composition rules used in my photo are lines, and rule of thirds. The lines created by the locker gradually get smaller making a dynamic feel. My subject also starts in the right side of the photo rather than the middle. This photo represents happiness because the bright yellows and oranges are usually thought of as happy colors, and flowers are a symbol or happiness and life. Some composition rules I used in the photo is balance because there is not an unbalance of negative space. This photo shows the prompt square because squares are geometric. In this picture there are many geometric features such as the books, the shelves, and the labels on the books. This picture shows composition rules such as balance, rule of thirds, framing. The picture shows a balance of color because the bookshelves are brown, while the books are bright, drawing attention the the main subject/the books. The shelves also frame th
